The first phase of Navarino is expected to be fully completed and operational by 2009 with the development of two integrated resorts, both situated on breathtaking beachfront property near the picturesque town of Pylos. The resorts will include four 5-star hotels, two signature golf courses, a thalassotherapy center, two spas, a conference center, indoor and outdoor athletic facilities, two creative centers for children, multiple restaurants, a water park, and many recreational experiences unique to the region.
The hotels and golf courses will be managed by premier operators. The two seaside golf courses are being designed by Robert Trent Jones II and Bernard Langer in association with European Golf Design, and will be managed by Troon Golf.
Upon completion of the first phase, Navarino will expand with the development of additional resort communities. Τhe entire project will be built on spectacular land comprising an area in excess of 10,000,000 m2 (1,000 hectares) and will consist of eleven hotels, seven golf courses, several conference centers, numerous athletic and recreational areas, and holiday villas. A total of four distinct residential and resort communities will enjoy more that five kilometers of seaside frontage. The development has been planned with a deep respect for the environment, with a building footprint measuring only up to 8% of the total land area, ensuring the protection and preservation of the region’s natural beauty.
This major tourism investment by TEMES in the Messinian Peninsula will create the first fully integrated resort communities in Greece, offering authentic and diverse experiences. Developed with exclusive designs in an idyllic location, Navarino is poised to become a new upscale destination in the Mediterranean.

Trent Jones visits first project in Greece
 Troon Golf has announced that the Bay Course at Navarino will be designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jnr. The legendary golf course designer made his first working visit to the site this week to meet with Captain Vassillis C Constantakopoulos, founder and chairman of Temes, the developer of luxury mixed-use resorts at Navarino in Greece.
The Bay course at Navarino, to be managed by Troon Golf, promises to be a challenging, yet fair test to golfers of all levels. Located along the idyllic western coast of the Peloponnese, in the peninsula of Messinia, the course will meander through natural rolling hills and lush olive groves. Its beachfront position offers stunning views of the Ionian Sea and the historic Navarino Bay from the majority of the holes.
The first phase in the developing destination of Navarino will include two individual sites, spreading over a total of 270 hectares. This initial phase will incorporate four 5-star hotels, managed by international premier partners, several state-of-the-art spas, luxurious villas, two signature golf courses and other numerous amenities.
The Dunes course, designed by former Ryder Cup captain Bernhard Langer, in association with EGD, is also under construction and will be managed by Troon Golf. The Bay course and The Dunes course are both scheduled to open during 2009, and together with the favourable climate conditions, will establish Navarino as new high-end year-round golf destination.
Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Navarino is committed to preserving the authenticity of the area, for guests to enjoy what has been part of the landscape for hundreds of years. Only eight percent of the total land area will be developed, while, more than 4,500 olive and orange trees will be replanted.

Ήδη στον ξένο τύπο του γκολφ υπάρχουν εκτεταμένες αναφορές στο γεγονός, με πολύ ευνοϊκά σχόλια σχετικά με το θέμα της συνεργασίας του Robert Trent Jones Junior με την TEMES S.A. της οικογένειας του εφοπλιστή καπετάν Βασίλη Κωνσταντακόπουλου, κατασκευάστρια εταιρία του γηπέδου.
Costa Navarino: Ολοκληρώνεται η ύψους 550 εκατ. ευρώ επένδυση

Μια από τις μεγαλύτερες τουριστικές επενδύσεις ελληνικών κεφαλαίων, ύψους 550 εκατ. ευρώ, στην Περιοχή Ολοκληρωμένης Τουριστικής Ανάπτυξης Μεσσηνίας βρίσκεται σε φάση ολοκλήρωσης και αναμένεται να δεχθεί τους πρώτους τουρίστες μέσα στο 2009.
Υπενθυμίζεται ότι πρόκειται για την επένδυση Costa Navarino της εταιρείας ΤΕΜΕΣ του εφοπλιστή Βασίλη Κωνσταντακόπουλου.
Η Costa Navarino είναι ένας νέος πολυτελής προορισμός στη Μεσόγειο, σε μια έκταση 10.000 στρεμμάτων. Είναι μια καταπράσινη περιοχή με λόφους και βουνά, που πλαισιώνεται από προστατευμένους κολπίσκους, μαγευτικές παραλίες και κοιλάδες με ελαιόδεντρα και αμπελώνες.
Ειδικότερα, το συγκρότημα Navarino Dunes αναπτύσσεται σε μία περιοχή έκτασης 1.300 στρεμμάτων με παραθαλάσσια πρόσοψη ενός χιλιομέτρου αμμώδους παραλίας στο Ιόνιο Πέλαγος. Τα δύο resort hotels στο Navarino Dunes (Romanos Navarino Dunes Resort, The Luxury Collection και Westin Navarino Dunes Resort) που θα είναι διαμορφωμένα σε συγκροτήματα με βίλλες, βρίσκονται κοντά στις πόλεις της Πύλου, Χώρας και Γαργαλιάνων, περίπου μισή ώρα από το διεθνές αεροδρόμιο της Καλαμάτας και με οδική πρόσβαση από την Αθήνα.
Το Romanos Navarino Dunes Resort, The Luxury Collection θα περιλαμβάνει 321 πολυτελή δωμάτια και σουίτες με 142 ιδιωτικές πισίνες, καθώς και πολλές κοινόχρηστες πισίνες. Το Westin Navarino Dunes Resort θα διαθέτει 445 δωμάτια πολυτελείας και σουίτες με 123 ιδιωτικές πισίνες, καθώς και πολλές κοινόχρηστες πισίνες.
Πάνω από 2.500 άτομα απασχολούνται για την υλοποίηση της επένδυσης, ενώ ιδιαίτερη έμφαση δόθηκε στην προστασία του περιβάλλοντος. Μεταξύ άλλων, όπως τόνισε ο κ. Κωνσταντακόπουλος, πάνω από 4.500 ελιές μεταφυτεύτηκαν εντός της ιδιόκτητης επιφάνειας, ενώ πρωτοποριακές μέθοδοι εφαρμόστηκαν στα συστήματα εξοικονόμησης ενέργειας. Σε ό,τι αφορά στη χρήση του νερού, η εταιρεία πιέζει προς την κατεύθυνση της χρήσης του ανακυκλούμενου νερού για αρδευτικούς σκοπούς.
Παράλληλα, πραγματοποιεί μελέτη, σε συνεργασία με το Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο, για την «εικόνα» του νερού στην περιοχή της Μεσσηνίας. Με την αποπεράτωση του έργου, περισσότερα από 1.500 άτομα θα μπορέσουν να απασχοληθούν στα τουριστικά συγκροτήματα, ενώ στόχος είναι η δωδεκάμηνη λειτουργία του.
